About The Village of Slocan owns the library/fitness and wellness centre. Donations and grants, as well as the annual $10 patrons' fee help develop the library. Story It's a large, bright former school room with WiFi available. Storytime, from 10:30 to 11:15 on Wednesday mornings, is very popular during the school year. Watch for special events such as Author Readings too. Products There is a well-balanced collection of fiction and non-fiction materials with outstanding collections in gardening, cooking and mysticism. There are extensive children's, junior and young adult collections. Our CD, DVD and talking books, now filling the foyer, are always expanding as the library accepts donations either for the shelves, or for our on-going used book sale in the hallway.
