About A network of physicians and other health providers working together to provide a more comprehensive primary care service. Story The Highland Primary Care Network (HPCN) has been around since 2007 providing health care services in Airdrie, Carstairs, Crossfield, Didsbury and surrounding areas. HPCN encompasses fourteen clinics, over forty-one member physicians and serves over fifty thousand patients. Primary Care (PC) is the first point of contact within the health care system that is provided by family physicians and Primary Care Network’s (PCN) interprofessional team; nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers and behavioural health consultants. The interprofessional team works closely with physicians resulting in better collaboration, timely referrals and comprehensive patient care.
