About The Oromocto and Area SPCA provides a temporary home for orphan animals while they wait for their "fur"ever family. Story Every single day animals arrive at the Oromocto SPCA needing our help. We feed, exercise, bathe, socialize, play with and provide comfort to these abused, neglected and abandoned animals. We take the wounded and sick to the veterinarian, change bandages, administer medications and monitor their recovery - with the goal of finding each animal a loving home. Last year hundreds of animals were adopted from the Oromocto SPCA including cats and dogs of all ages, shapes, sizes and breeds, as well as rabbits, rats and more! We invite you to drop by the shelter during adoption hours to visit the animals in our lovely windowed cat room, kitty condos and large outdoor dog runs, or browse our site and view our adoptable animals online. Find your friend for life! Mission •To look after the physical and psychological welfare of abandoned abused and unwanted animals. •To adopt each animal into a suitable and caring home. •To promote humane attitudes and responsible pet ownership through public education. •To eliminate euthanasia as a means of controlling the pet over-population. •To protect and maintain the rights and dignity of all living things.
