About The Wiarton Salvation Army is a community Church and family services center that is available to meet the needs of the community by caring for their spiritual, emotional, relational and physical needs through the love of Jesus Christ. Story The Salvation Army is an international Christian organization that began its work in Canada in 1882 and has grown to become the largest non-governmental direct provider of social services in the country. The Salvation Army gives hope and support to vulnerable people today and everyday in 400 communities across Canada and 113 countries around the world. The Salvation Army offers practical assistance for children and families, often tending to the basic necessities of life. Its ministry message is based on the Bible; its MINISTRY is motivated by the love for God and a practical concern for the needs of humanity. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, supply basic human needs, provide personal counseling and undertake the spiritual and moral regeneration and physical rehabilitation of all persons who come within its sphere of influence regardless of race, color, creed, sex or age...
