About The Positive Touch Massage Clinic is located on the Burin Peninsula. Our team of soft tissue experts are dedicated to providing the most effective and safe massage therapy treatments to our clientele. Story Paul Rumsey, RMT (Owner / Operator) Paul graduated from the Massage Therapy program at College of the North Atlantic with honors in August 1999. He has since resided and practiced in the Marystown region since March 2000. Certified in: Swedish massage Myofascial massage Pregnancy/infant massage Cranio-sacral therapy Lymphatic Drainage Pamela King, RMT Pamela completed the Massage Therapy program with honors at Georgian College in August 2008. She started working in the St. John's area in December 2008 until Sept 2010 when she made the move to the Burin Peninsula. Some of her skills include: Swedish massage Deep tissue massage Myofascial work Trigger-Point therapy Pregnancy/Infant massage Scar tissue massage Pamela has also recently completed a massage therapy course called Massage and Late Effects of Cancer and Cancer Treatment. In the duration of this course she learned to recognize red flags associated with cancer treatment, to understand the dysfunctions associated with cancer treatment and provide safe and effective massage sessions and to have an understanding the early, long term and late effects of cancer treatment. Since then she has been working with people in varying stages of their cancer treatment to help with the recovery process. All therapists at this location are fully registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Newfoundland and Labrador(CMTNL) and the Newfoundland and Labrador Massage Therapy Association(NLMTA). Also fully certified in Level C CPR/First Aid.
