About The Thunder Bay Veterinary Hospital is a small animal practice located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Thunder Bay is located at the head of Lake Superior, approximately 50 kilometers from the Canada - U.S.A. border. Story We are a multi-doctor facility, allowing us to tap into the multiple areas of expertise that each individual veterinarian brings to the practice and for the review of cases by more than one doctor when needed. After hours, our own veterinary staff members handle emergencies so you know that when a crisis occurs you will be dealing with someone that knows you and your pet. We welcome any questions or comments which you may have about our facilities, services, veterinary medicine or this website. Our hospital provides medical, surgical, and dental care as well as behavioural consultations. We have a laboratory and radiology department for patient diagnostics, as well as the capability to do endoscopic examinations and ultrasound. Our practice has five Registered Veterinary Technicians on staff, more than any other local practice. We also have the only graduate of the Canadian Veterinary Dental Technician course as well as three additional support staff members with over forty years of clinic experience. One of our registered veterinary technicians is also a certified pet dog trainer who does both canine behavioural consultations and a variety of training classes are offered.
