About The Electrical Safety Authority's (ESA) mission is to improve electrical safety for the well-being of the people of Ontario. Story Mandate: Ontario’s Electricity Act and the Safety and Consumer Statutes Administration Act and Regulations establish the Electrical Safety Authority’s (ESA) responsibility for regulating the safe use of electricity and equipment in Ontario, enforcing the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, and appointing Inspectors. As aligned with ESA’s mandate of public safety, we like to foster a social community of positivity.
