About "Super Six" Canned Fruit Peanut Butter Fruit Juice Beef Stew Canned Meat & Fish Instant Mashed Potatoes Mission The Food Bank efficiently and effectively obtains resources and facilitates distribution of food and necessities to Racine County individuals and families in need, through a network of direct service providers. Our goal is to equalize distribution of resources through the community and to serve as an advocate on behalf of the community in reducing hunger. Products Services * Emergency Food Collection, Sorting & Distribution * Food Donation Center * Information & Referral * Community Garden of Giving & Teaching Garden * Advocacy on Hunger Other Activities * Administration of the EFSP Government Food Programs * Collect, sort and distribute food donated throughout the community * Collaborate on national, regional and local food drives, i.e., Piggly Wiggly "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive, National Letter Carrier "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive and the Boy Scout's "Scouting For Food" drive * Collaborate with other social service agencies on operation of Racine's Central Food Referral Site * Founding partner of "Garden of Giving" Community Garden * Collaborate with UW-Extension on the operation of "The Teaching Garden. Benefits and Fund Raisers * Thoughts For Food * Annual Fundraising Dinners at the Cotton Exchange and Corner House made possible by the donation of animals purchased at the Racine County Fair.
