About Founded in 1988, the First Baptist Church Community Food Pantry is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving individuals and families in the Greater Derry area. Story The food pantry is open every Tuesday afternoon from 3:30-5:00pm, and every Thursday morning from 9:30-noon. Additionally, we are open from 3:30-5:00pm on the first and last Thursday of every month. If you are unsure of our hours, you can also visit our calendar page. Visitors do not need to call ahead to schedule an appointment. Doors will open a half hour before we begin distributing food. We have never run out of food and we do not turn anyone away. While you may wait briefly in line, once inside, the entire ‘shopping’ process takes about 10-15 minutes. Mission Our mission is to provide food and hygiene products for clients to use in their homes.
