About Hillburn Fire Department is one of the 26 volunteer fire departments in Rockland County. Story Since 1894, Hillburn Fire Department has been protecting the residents of our village, responding to the New York State Thruway as well as our surrounding villages and towns. We house 3 pieces of apparatus, 5-Quad, 5-CFR and 5-MP. Line Officers: Chief- Ed Kelly Jr. (5-1) 1st Assistant Chief- Shane Starr (5-2) 2nd Assistant Chief- Irving Strysko (5-3) Captain- Annemarie Basile (5-4) 1st Lieutenant - Nelson Scott (5-5) 2nd Lieutenant- Thomas Whelan (5-6) 3rd Lieutenant- Thomas Scott (5-7) New members are always welcome. We hold drill every Wednesday night at 7pm and monthly meetings every 4th Monday at 8pm.
