About St. Matthias and St James the Apostle's vision is to be a gathering place for the wider community and a hub for preparation for social activism. Story The Church of St Matthias & St. James the Apostle is an Anglican Church that is committed to living the gospel of inclusivity, restoration of peace and justice for all, and joyful engagement with all who do this work, both in the name of Jesus and with other sources of inspiration. Our vision is to be a gathering place for the wider community and a hub for social activism. We acknowledge that the land on which this church is built is the land traditionally used by the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe and Neutral People. We recognize the Mississaugas of the Credit as holding treaty rights on this territory. We also acknowledge the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge and philosophies of the Indigenous People with whom we share this land and these waters.
