About Spokane County United Way creates a more educated, prosperous, and healthy community for all. Story Spokane County United Way is a local nonprofit that brings our community together to solve complex issues in the areas of education, income, and health. Spokane County United Way listened to the community, researched local data and created a shared vision for the year 2020. Vision 2020 calls for increased graduation rates, increased financial stability, and healthier home environments. The specific measurements for Vision 2020 are to cut the educational achievement gap in half, lower the number of people living in poverty, and decrease domestic violence and child abuse and neglect. Mission To mobilize our community to create measurable results that improve people's lives.
