About The Sherman County historical Museum is a national award winning museum located in Moro, Oregon. Dedicated to preserving the History of Sherman County. Story The Museum comprises 16,000 square feet and over 15,000 artifacts used in Native American families, Oregon Trail migration, rural households, churches, schools, businesses, livestock production, dry-land wheat farming and conservation, military units and patriotic efforts. Seventy of the county's 2,000 residents volunteer at the Museum. We are a unique non-profit county museum with interpretive exhibits of tools and equipment used by families in wheat and livestock production, homes, businesses, schools and churches on the Columbia Plateau, and hands-on experiences for everyone! Mission Our Mission is to gather, preserve, research, interpret and exhibit objects and materials related to Sherman County. Products The Museum Store offers its signature t-shirt with a wheat design, note cards, books, mugs, commemorative coverlets, Christmas ornaments, handcrafted items, gifts, toys and a complete selection of Sherman County author Jane Kirkpatrick's books.
