About We are comprised of six full time officers, one part time officer, and one administrative assistant. Story The Canaan Police Department takes pride in serving our approximately 4000 residents with integrity, respect, and professionalism. We will adhere to the highest ethical standard and accept responsibility for our decisions and actions.
