About Avondale School District is a collaborative community of teachers, staff and families working together to assure student success. Story Avondale School District is located 21 miles north of Detroit, educates over 3,700 students in grades K-12. Nearly 36,000 residents live within the district boundaries which encompasses portions of four of the more progressive, dynamic and growing municipalities in Oakland County, Michigan, e.g., Auburn Hills, Bloomfield Township, Rochester Hills and Troy. These communities are home to several international corporations and offer easy access to many of the Detroit metropolitan areas greatest resources for academic, cultural, athletic and recreational services.
