About The Mahoning Valley Economic Development Corporation is a partnership of public and private interests focused on the revitalization and diversification of the Mahoning Valley in Northeastern Ohio. Story The Mahoning Valley Economic Development Corporation (MVEDC) was established in 1979, as a partnership between public and private interests focusing on the revitalizing and diversifying the economy of the Northeast Ohio region. Our goal is to help your business grow. Since 1981, MVEDC has assisted hundreds of companies to obtain millions of dollars through the Small Business Administration and other loan programs. Located in Youngstown, our services not only extend to the Mahoning County, but to Trumbull, Ashtabula, Columbiana, Geauga, Portage and Belmont Counties in Ohio; and Lawrence, Mercer, Beaver and Franklin Counties in Pennsylvania.
