"The MacKenzie Art Gallery is Saskatchewan’s oldest and most compelling public art gallery, offering original exhibitions of works by local national and international artists. The MacKenzie’s vision both as a Gallery and centre for innovative programming is to foster transformative experiences through experimentation, creativity, and play. From its ambitious beginnings over 60 years ago at what is now the University of Regina, the MacKenzie evolved into an independent public, not-for-profit gallery in 1990. Reflecting the industrious spirit of Norman MacKenzie, the community raised the funds to create the stunning, state-of-the-art professional space the Gallery now calls home in the T.C. Douglas Building in the heart of Wascana Park."
