"Many people ask us where our name comes from, or “who is Gian?” We always enjoy sharing a bit about our grandfather, Gian. He started the restaurant and Indian sweets business in 1940 in a little town called Jagraon, in the province of Punjab, India. Since then, our father has carried his name, taking over the business after our grandfather passed away. Gian’s has now been serving Abbotsford for over 20 years. Our dad is still involved in the business, lending a hand, and helping us to maintain our focus on traditional, quality Indian cuisine."
