Hands down one of the best gelato spots in Toronto! They have some of the most amazing and delicious gelato and ice cream flavours I’ve tried in the city. It has become my favourite sweet treat after a long walk at the Beaches, and ever since we discovered this place, we can’t go back to anywhere else. nnI’m usually a chocolate flavour girly, but the first time I tried their Burnt Marshmallow flavour, I was completely hooked, that’s all I order now! The flavours are so unique & delicious. This place truly deserves all the hype, and honestly, it’s worth waiting in the line for lol
If you’re in the Beaches and craving ice cream, Ed’s Real Scoop is absolutely worth the stop. The selection is impressive, with plenty of ice cream flavours to choose from, along with gelato, frozen yogurt, and sorbet, so there’s something for everyone. The line can definitely get long, especially on a nice day, and the staff can come across a little snippy when things get busy, but honestly, the ice cream is good enough that most people won’t mind waiting. Generous portions, lots of variety, and consistently delicious. Overall, it’s one of those classic east Toronto spots that keeps people coming back.
Went here in the evening on Victoria Day, ice cream and some fireworks was the plan. With the gorgeous weather and it being a holiday, understandably there was a 20-25minute line. Moved quickly, and in no time we were pondering which flavours to cool us down. Everyone raves about the Burnt Marshmallow; had to try it and I'd say it lived up to the hype. Between the two of us we also had sweet cream and banana split. Both of those were also good, but the banana split was unexpectedly ALOT better than I was expecting. I got mine in a waffle cone, which tasted great but I wish was a little crunchier, likely will just opt for a cup next time. They were having troubles with their credit card machine which was a little annoying as they had to chase after people who had already left incase their system faulted... myself included. Overall great ice cream, I will be back. Cheers
Amazing ice cream, just wish there was a bit more flavours. First time at this location, staff was good and helpful with any questions or concerns. 8/10
I almost want to hold off on the review to keep Ed’s Scoop non-busy and to myself because I don’t want their line-up to get longer But I can’t be selfish like that because their ice-creams and gelatos are one of the best I tasted in North America. Their waffle cones are home-made and fresh too. They keep certain staple flavours and then add/subtract other ones which keeps things interesting. I recommend their berry gelatos, dark chocolate gelato, roasted marshmallow ice cream, and strawberry ice cream. Realistically, you cant go wrong with any flavour here. It’s top notch.
