The seafood in this restaurant was phenomenal and the view was breathtaking. They showed us the fish and vancouver crab live before they cooked it for us. They steamed the fish light and moist and stir fried the crab sweet and buttery with scallion and garlic. I had never seen nor tasted seafood so fresh, meaty and tasty! We also had amazing freshly sautéed prawns with chinese broccoli. They also gave us complimentary green bean soup for dessert. The service was nice too. The Vancouver magazine has Dynasty as their “favorite restaurant”, “best seafood restaurant”, and “best chinese restaurant”. What an amazing dinner with my BC friend and daughter for our first night in BC
Most of the dim sum dishes were fairly decent, but the fried items were disappointing. As shown in the picture, they were overly greasy and soaked in oil, which made them unappetizing.nThe price is also on the higher side, around $50 per person, which feels steep given the inconsistency in quality. Despite being Michelin-recommended, this isn’t a dim sum spot I’d be eager to return to anytime soon.
Good food that's pretty standard. Didn't feel that anything in particular stood out for dimsum specially for a place that was Michelin rated or award winning. Pricing sure reflected it though. Quality of the ingredients did seem a little better than the other restaurants.
I enjoyed so much here, not only they have live seafood but also they cooked very well. The food taste is even better than most Hong Kong restaurant done. Good job and will come back again
Honestly I am a bit disappointed to the dim sum given the price range.nn- seafood and beet dumplings are their specialty. It looks luxurious with a big piece of scallop on each of them, but the scallop is under-flavored. There is a little shrimp shell in the dumpling I had.n- there is a short hair stick with a shrimp dumpling dough.n- the dumplings are often stick together, so it’s difficult to not have them pierced when I pick them up.n- one side of my steamed pork buns is not wrapped very well, so the filling is visible when it’s put on our tablen- Siu Mai is OKn- The best one is deep fried squidnnThe view from the restaurant is pretty good. Seating is comfortable.
