Booked an appointment online a week before. Went into the appointment nervous I usually get bloodwork done every 3-6months I have had some really bad experiences, but mostly good and I always watch the needle so when I say this location has a lady that took my blood PAINLESSLY I mean it. I felt the pressure from her finger and that was it. I wish I got her name. Other than that it is a smaller location with not much waiting area, but it wasn't busy mid-day, mid-week.
This is a smaller lab that is in the Riverview Crossing Mall. I had visited my Doctor in the Mall and needed some bloodwork, urine sample and heart monitor and this lab was able to take care of it all. It was great that my doctor and the lab was in the same place. The staff was friendly and courteous. I did not have to wait for long. Overall my experience was good.
I went there today around 12pm for bloodwork, and Amina was my tech. She was absoloutly phenomenal! She was so kind and patient! And I literally felt literally no pain getting my blood taken which I've never experienced before with dozens of times having my blood drawn. Deffinetly a keep that one!!
I had a nuchal translucency ultrasound and was told I had 24 hours to get my blood work done. I typically go straight to get it done but my car broke down so I decided to go the next morning. I went as soon as they opened and was told that they “could not” do my blood work because it has to be done same day and the results would not be affective. I was told I would have to get another ultrasound done. Considering I was a day away from 14 weeks, this was my last chance to get this testing done so I was obviously upset. I went back to my ultrasound technician who confirmed that I had 24 hours to get my blood work done and that I was well in my time to have it done. So she made some calls and made me an appointment at a different location. Apparently Dynalife does have the right to refuse if it is not same-day but it is a location preference and has nothing to do with the actual test results so either these employees were misinformed or I was lied to. Either way, if they would have told me that, I could have saved myself the stress and just went to another location. Rather than being a hysterical first time mother because I was told that I wouldn’t be able to get these tests done for my baby. The only reason I’m even giving one star is because the staff member that I dealt with was very friendly and patient, even though I was visibly not happy.
They estimated a 25-30 minute wait for walk in blood work and I was seen in 5. The nurse who saw me was awesome, I barely felt a thing and she didn't rush me out the door like the past time I had blood work done I get lightheaded and need to sit a couple minutes afterwards.
I had an appointment last Friday for 4:00 PM, but I was running late. I asked if I could still do my blood test if I arrived before 4:30 PM which was their closing time. I was informed that I would be able to so long as I arrived before 4:30 PM. I arrived 5 minutes before closing and the phlebotomist was quick and efficient. She got my vein right away, got the blood sample and I was in and out within 5 minutes.
This is outrageous we had an appointment for our 92 year old mother and when we showed up 15 minutes early we were told it would be 45 minutes to one hour from our appointment time . Our mother has a hard time walking and standing. The waiting room is packed. Maybe they can hire some staff or we need different politicians. This is not acceptable in Canada Go to the hospital if you have a elderly person needing medical tests.
Friendly staff, clean environment however wait times can be excessive as it is a very busy lab. Appointments are recommended but they do accept walk-in patients. Standard blood tests and samples. They also have ECG testing on site.
I have gone here out of convenience a few times. It's two blocks away from my house. Today when I went I handed over a blood request from my doctor for fertility in Ontario. He specializes in this procedure. Without hesitation the nurse took all my information down and asked me to wait. I did. As I got called for my turn I went up provided my ID and asked 1. How long do results take. She responded a few hours. 2.how do results get posted or back to my doctor. She said on Netcare which I didn't know at the time was only Alberta wide. That out of province results get mailed.. Which can take days for heavens sake. These results normally come within the day. And they are to determine in a time sensitive matter if I am pregnant or not.. Holy Hannah who wants to wait another week to get those result. I am shocked at the lack of thoroughness this woman had. If I were in her shoes which I have been before working in the same field. I'd be helpful and happy smile once in a while and not hope to God my client doesn't notice something that may take me a few minutes to explain.. My God so after I noticed this mishap I went back into the Dynalife and waited in line again only to talk to the same woman and oh yea well I can give you a number to call. And you'll need this accession number when you call and they can fax it to your doctor for you... Are you serious! Thank you for you devoted kindness and over the top quality assurance ma'am. Next time I want friendlier staff and good quality service I will go elsewhere.
Was walking by and asked how long a wait it was. Told me 20 minutes and I was in and out in 10. Great job. Had to cancel my pending appointment 2 weeks away.
