Genuinely terrible service. Zero focus on patient care. Working in the medical field I am understanding appointments have the potential to run behind. I expected this as when I arrived at the lab it was fairly busy. I arrived 15 minutes early as I was instructed to do when booking the appointment. I checked in at the front and waited. There were many appointments and walk in’s but when it was 40 minutes into my appointment time without being seen I went to talk to the receptionists. Come to find out the new receptionist up front who initially helped me failed to check me in. I was extremely frustrated as I had taken time off work to have these tests preformed. I was assured by the other receptionist that I would be seen next and she was the only one who apologized. Shortly after my name was called. When I sit down to have my tests preformed the employee performing my tests is not prepared searching and asking other employees where the necessary supplies for my tolerance testing are located. After 10 minutes of this I am told they are unable to do my testing because they did not order the needed supplies. I tell them this is so frustrating as I have waited 40 minutes up front and taken time off work to be here. The employee shows little empathy. At this point I go back up front to the second receptionist who previously helped me and explain the situation and I elaborate that I called the booking line to book this test so the lab should have been prepared. She is the only one who apologized I am told I will have to drive to the second St. Albert location to have my tests performed. At this point I have been at the lab for 1 hour and have had 0 tests performed.nThis lab shows little care for people’s well being and time. The standard of care practiced at this lab is pathetic and I recommend going anywhere else.
Took my elderly mom with mobility issues for blood work today. Mason, the lab tech, took excellent care of us. He was compassionate and went above and beyond to ensure my mothers comfort. So appreciated his expertise and kindness!!
The woman who works the front checkin is incredibly rude not only to me but as I sat waiting to every other client who entered. As the first point of contact and someone who sees every person that walks through the door you’d think they’d be a person who liked people. This has been my experience both times I’ve been there this year.nThe bathrooms are so dirty for a medical lab!nThe people who draw my blood have been lovely and efficient.
Had a good experience overall waited only 15 minutes past my allotted appointment time. Better than most Edmonton locations for sure. Blood draw went smoothly done in less than 5 minutes.
This place is well managed. We walked in on a Saturday, arrived at 11:50 am, there were only 4 people in front of us in the line, and the help desk called us at 11:56 am. He mentioned up front that there was a wait time for 15-20 minutes and asked us if we were okay to wait. It didn't even take that much time, and we were called in for the blood work. The staff member was very courteous and was paying lots of attention to detail. She helped us with patience and made sure she was not poking aimlessly for blood. She made sure the veins were visible enough and then only inserted the needle for blood work. When you're waiting outside, your first name is also displayed on the screen, showing your number in the queue that keeps you well informed about the wait times. The reports were made available to our GP on Monday morning.
