What a run down hole! Nothing has been maintained for years, the gras was maybe cut in the spring, and not again. Even the "house" where the office is is falling down! I wouldnt stay here if they paid me!
Can't believe what the owner/groundskeeper says. His word is worthless. I called in ahead asking price for monthly rates and if there were showers and when the water was gonna be turned on. I was told may 1st which was fine with me. I went up to work on April 18th and the water to the campground was never turned on. I left on May 27th. I waited till around May 10th to ask about the water again, it didn't seem like he cared about it, kind of a not my problem attitude. I had asked if the rate would be lowered for the missing utility's/facilities and was told It would not be. I Will never go back. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
after being on the road for 16 hours we decided we would check the next RV park for availability. Dyer Straits happened to be right off the TransCan, I liked the name. Stopped in, the owner came right out, prices were very affordable. We got a full service pull through lot, it was very quiet, has showers/restrooms as well. We got rested up and hit the road! Nice place!
Ok place to stay when nothing else was open at the beginning of the season. It is the end of May & still no water on but have to pay for full service. Came back and found our mat was cut while he did the grass. Hmmm
Friendlt, cordial, helpful staff. Easy access off hwy 1. We pulled in after 1030pm we called ahead however and were greeted with enthusiam. Facilities are clean, quiet and restful.
Dire Straits Campground is a wonderful place to go however I believe that it's a place for people who are going to University to rent they have beautiful cabins there I don't know anything much about the campground but I do know what cabins beautiful cabins great service I'd go to Dire Straits if I were going to
I would like to send a big thankyou to all the customers that supported me during my time as manager at dyerstraits I will no longer be looking after the campground as of May 15/20 so I wish you safe travels and once again thankyou
Good place to store trailer; easy access and fairly inexpensive.
Tim is very helpfull. Keep up the good work!!!!
