Dutchfix offers great taste of Dutch food. Tulip Time burger is very good usually, I am not a burger fan with Frites and their amazing homemade sauce, Joppiesaus. We also had special strawberry rhubarb Poffertjes and Oliebollen. Oh yes, they both are awesome. Totally recommend this place if you are in the area. Nice clean restroom comes with Dutch color… I think it is cute that’s just me.
My wife and I were in Pella visiting our son at Central College. He wanted to take us to Dutchfix before leaving town. The restaurant is located in their downtown area with multiple shops and restaurants in the area. Had the wind and cold not kept us from walking around we probably would have visited more of the area. We were greated with a smile from the young lady taking orders. The menu is full of burgers and other Dutch themed fair. My son and his friend each had a burger with baloney which looked wonderful. My wife had a regular hamburger, which she said was very good. I had the Leighton Local, which consisted of a pork burger with BBQ sauce. It was served on a bun from a local bakery just down the block. I will say it was a bit small, however I enjoyed it so much I went back and ordered a second one. We all got our various sandwiches/burgers as meals. The meal included fries and a drink. They also have various sauces to choose from that come on the side. I recommend the honey mustard. The prices were very affordable and the atmosphere is laid back and welcoming. If you're visiting the campus, a student, or just walking around the cool downtown area, I'd say stop in and grab a bite.
This place is amazing and the food is awesome! Fresh cooked to order!!! The pfoferrjes mini pancakes are tasty with different toppings available. There are several other Dutch menu options! Plenty of breakfast, lunch and dinner options for everyone!! Vegetarian options: Plenty of options! All food is cooked to order Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu. Parking: Plenty of parking as centrally located on the Pella Square. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes..accessible.
Wonderful spot during trip to Pella. Whole family there for a funeral. It's near a courtyard with wall sized Dutch tiles. Didn't know what traditional Dutch food is so just dove in. I had the Stampot. Roast beef red cabbage over mashed potatoes. With spices probably a pepper and something kind of sweet. It came in a paper bowl and I was a little worried about the size. Seemed small but no. Very filling. Incredibly delicious. I scraped out everything I could get. Mom had Dutch Mess. Similar came in a bowl. She loved it. I thought about it but "wilted lettuce" in the description turned me off. Apparently don't fear the wilt. Mom said she'd come back again just for that. I let my wife sample my Stampot. We both had the same idea. Date weekend in Pella and food at Dutchfix. Great prices. Fun atmosphere. They were playing some Funk music in background. Probably whole Dutch Pella thing plus the environment made me feel a little like I was in Europe. There's a cool map of The Netherlands inside. Takes up entire wall. The staff is very nice and friendly. Going back!

If you are visiting Pella I would definitely recommend stopping at this establishment. The food is very close to authentic and the staff was very helpful. We had the croquettes which were quite well presented and tastes great. We also had the Frites and ordered 3 Pickled Herring. The Herring is extremely overpriced and it should be advertised that 1 herring is only actually half of the fish. Taking that into consideration, the Pickled Herring is grossly overpriced at $6.99USD for a single filet.
Q How many places in North America can you find a restaurant dedicated to a Dutch food or at least a Dutch twist on food. A Not many. But this is one of them. We had a sampler platter of a burger, frites fries, and poffertjes no English word for these delicious things. If you are enjoying those poffertjes with kids, take few extra napkins. Have them wear black if you want a dead giveaway as to who sneaked extras. Service was quick and friendly. Prices were reasonable. There is seating indoors, or if the weather cooperates, which it did for us, you can take your treats outdoors where there are benches.
Wow, very authentic Dutch food. The bittervallen was dynamite and the pickled herring made me feel like I was on the streets of Amsterdam. Pofertjes were quite good as well--definitely a 2 person dish. It closes at 7pm in the winter so make sure you get there in time prior to closing. Fiendly staff, plenty of indoor seating available.
Very nice downtown Dutch fusion. Be ready for real soul food. They also have some new twist on various classics. I will go there again.
