It’s really pretty and cosy. The food was absolutely delicious. We had eggs benedict, omlettes, and cinnamon bun french toast. All of them were great. Everyone was nice and friendly. Highly recommended.
This place was fantastic! From the amazing staff kindness, to the cute chicken décor, to the great food, this is definitely our new breakfast spot. I can't say enough good things about this place. Brenda was wonderful :
We were just passing through the town and were looking for a good breakfast place. We got really lucky to find this one. It is one of those local food joint where everyone knows everyone else. The waitresses are super nice. They have 2 cooks in the kitchen and you do not wait for your food. Your plate is full, and your belly too, very reasonably priced.
My brother has previously come here many times and so I came here with my girlfriend with high hopes, but I was quickly disappointed when I realized what the service was like. It was one of the owners waiting on us, and several times we would say thank you to no response from her. Now since we are young, I can understand if there was a slight bias towards older customers as she had been talking a lot to some customers that came after us, but there was a group of 4 men not much older than us we are 20, that she didn’t know but was laughing and carrying on with despite them swearing and talking so loud everyone on the patio could clearly hear them. The eggs seemed undercooked and we both couldn’t finish them, and the pancakes were good, but the rest of the food was fairly average. I would come back if the service was good, but unfortunately my experience with the owner of the establishment has left too bad of a bad taste in my mouth for me to want to give them the business again.
Have been there twice for breakfast while visiting family. Service was warm and friendly in a cozy atmosphere. Food was excellent ; simple and hearty in generous servings. We will definitely be going back.
One of the cutest neighborhood restaurant you can imagine. It's unbelievable this restaurant still exist. Fantastic patio and inner decoration. Best breakfast in Lindsay and staffs are very friendly. Inside art installation adds bonus to cozy and comfy environment. Easy access from downtown but very quiet corner in the neighborhood.
We are so happy that we discovered this jewel. Looking for a good place for breakfast. The cozy warm atmosphere in this restaurant not only fit the bill but went way beyond what we hoped to find .Our waitress Jill made us feel like we were guests at her home, and after enjoying a great meal I was left with a satisfied smile on my face.
From waitresses to owners, you always feel like one of the family when you eat at the Durham Cafe. It is just one of those small town places that are a MUST to eat at if in or passing through Lindsay ON. I always get the turkey club and it is piled high always and fresh ingredients. Everytime i eat it from here, i seriously go to my happy place. Leave with a smile. Customer service is always at it's finest. Been going to this establishment since before 1997. Good job ladies!
The best place in Lindsay to have breakfast or lunch! I have been going here for 9, almost 10 years, daily with my family. They have a great variety of food, the servers are so kind, the decor is cute. Their pies are all homemade & delicious as well! Most deffinetly worth the money!
People who I was with said the food was good but I didn't eat , I ate earlier so wasn't hungry. Loudest restaurant I have ever been to , and extremely busy also. Friendly staff. Though not the cleanest. When you wipe the table with a cloth you should put something under the cups when you put them facedown on the table. Don't just put them on the bare table that's gross. Kitchen too close to the bathroom. Very busy place though.
