It is incredible place to visit. Colors formation was incredible and mind blowing. Best time to visit is Fall. It was quite easy and good trail hike. Reservations is required and suggested. Only few walk-ins admission they allow. If you want to do all scenic view point capturing moments please allow good time for yourself. Parking and entrance fees are combined. Restrooms: There were some public washroom in parking lot but that is only available for people who is visiting to dundas peak and have the park entrance.
Beautiful place but you have to reserve a parking spot in advance and pay for each person. Not really worth it when there's so many beautiful waterfalls in Hamilton area 150 give or take!. The view is amazing at the Peak but there are other ways to get that view. Worth it in autumn though. Look through my pictures! If you do pay to get in, be sure to check out Christies for some disc golf/hikes/swim or Fifty point.
great place for a walk. a walk along the edge of the earth a path on which in some places it is very scary, if you deviate a little from the route. places for good photos. there is a parking lot, it is not clear why they require a reservation. The trails are not that crowded. we will definitely come back again.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYes
One of the best place to see the falls view near Hamilton. It has a pathway about 20 min walk to the main view point with some view point in between the trail and a small waterfall near the parking area. The path to the view point is covered with trees on both the sides and looks amazing. Advance booking in a must and requires approximately 2 hrs.
Great place. Short hike, mostly in a shade. Reservation during weekends required. However, if it’s not busy they will let you in. Yes, day pass is quite pricey for such a short time, but you can use it throughout the day on any other HCA locations. Waterfalls are in full during fall and spring.
I have visited Dundas Peak twice, both times during the summer season. Each time the experience was truly one never to forget. The view, the trail up the mountain and being so close to nature was something to behold. Surely wish to visit the place place once again, this time in fall though. Restrooms: Available
Fantastic falls view. The trail only half an hour to an hour walk. Don't need to buy parking at the entrance, since the reservation only allow two hours. You can park at any nearby parks other than the entrance park. Kids have lots of fun. The only issue is very dusty. Don't wear black shoes. It will turn gray easily.Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Opens at 9am, we got there 930. They advise to book at least 1 week in advance. $25/person. Went with my 2 dogs and had a great 3 1/2hr walk! My dogs had a lovely time rummaging and sniffing everything in the leaves. Was not a crowded walk, though there were people around, especially coming to the afternoon. There's space for all and some places very few ppl trek to, off the main paths. My dogs loved it! Dog-friendliness: Everyone was very courteous, all dogs were leashed, friendly and approachable. Your dog will love it here. Remember to pick up after your doggie! :
One of the best places to view Fall foliage in the entire province. We appreciate how things have been more organized now that there is park reservation to ensure it's not too chaotic in the trails. There are also now fences around the cliffs for people's safety. I'm quite risk averse and felt safer now that the fences have been put in although I know opinions are mixed about this. Dundas Peak is definitely a place to visit especially when you are in the Hamilton area!
Most-visited point in Hamilton and suburbs for me and my friends, especially in fall season as there is a rainbow of colours in the valley beside the peak! The peak is not too high and climbing is on a steady state, comfortable even for seniors! Highly recommended!
