I've used this ferry terminal dozens of times. The BC Ferries staff are very helpful and where possible will accommodate your needs. The terminal is very busy on long weekends and sunny summer days. Use the online reservation system to avoid having to wait in a lineup for hours. The amenities are limited but clean. If you have time, visit the Provincial Biggs park at Jack Point, either before your trip or after you disembark. It's adjacent to the terminal. Use Google Maps to get you to the parking lot.

If you are going to Vancouver Island or returning with kids, this ferry is the superior choice. This is because both sides have great playgrounds and services, whereas horseshoe bay is horrible for families. There are few services except for in town, and you are really in for trouble if you have a ferry wait and it's raining. In any case, reservations are available and can save a lot of hassles. The price is only ten dollars and we usually reserve anyway. The ferries are expensive, but are run cleanly and efficiently, and the staff are generally courteous.

It was a nice ride on the ferry the only thing that I have a hard time is the ferry fare I’m a senior and have a hard time going to see my family in Vancouver it cost so much to get off the island I like going on the ferry because it’s a beautiful ride and all the staff are wonderful thanks for listening
