Beautiful Lighting, especially Canadian "Noah Ark" with Dove flying Great presentation. Donations are optional at end of the trail, we opted for drive through the trail but if you want you can park the car and walk through the trail. Must visit place if you are coming to Niagara Falls.
Great kid friendly trail for a pleasant day very near to the falls Have picnic spots
Slightly upstream from the falls to enjoy the tranquility of this park. Free to visit, but parking is $5 / hour. Great place to visit when you need a break.
There is never enough time to explore everything in Niagara Falls or in the Niagara Region, but if you have a bit of time or need a calming experience after all the hubbub, make this your destination. What appears like a loop around several islands caused by a meandering river actually came about in the early 1900s. It was a little appendice to the river which was transformed into a natural area. Previously a rowdy party destination known as the Front late 1800s. It became a popular swimming and paddleboating destination for decades, when the 10 acres area was rehabilitated into parklands, but these forms of entertainment were also banned for safety reasons. Now a naturalized area full of trails and discovery, with washrooms, ample parking and picnic tables. There are many points of access to the islands bridges and footpaths for you to explore indigenous vegetation or observe birdboxes and bird feeding station. It makes taking elder family members in an unspoiled nature setting as easy as possible. Bring binoculars. This venue hosts a Winter Festival of Lights.
Great place to walk in nature. If you walk across towards the Niagara River you can see the barge that sank there years ago and possibly a rainbow over the falls. It's paid parking so remember to get your $40 parking pass on line or at the meters which is good for a year in almost all the parking lots including the big lot at the falls, the butterfly Conservatory, Dufferin Islands, Queenston Heights and more.
A beautiful quiet spot for hot summer days. The geese aren't murderous and they let you explore the place in peace.
Today was a first day of the Winter Festival of Lights in Niagara Falls and we came to the Dufferin Island to see beautiful illustrations of the wild life. I love this time of year when the Christmas spirit is coming to town. You should visit this adorable place. You can drive or walk around. It’s free but they will appreciate the small donations: $5+ from the car and $1 per person if it’s a bus.
Good light show Drive thru and its FREE FREE is good right Can stop over few places if you find a place to parking without blocking the flow.. But Wouldn’t drive over just to see the lights from far over an hour
A quiet park steps away from the tourist crowds. Has several picnic tables along the bushes.
Nice place to avoid the crowd all around the city, but be careful about the parking ticket
