Great environment but really went downhill the last few years. Put on the extra miles and head to Child's lake instead.

Great camping! Worth the 5 hour drive from Winnipeg!

If you like nature and peace and quiet this is great place to camp. Many of the camp site are quite spacious with lots of privacy. The firewood is also free at the campground entrance. It is not uncommon to see deer cautious walking within view of campsites. We saw an elk while we were there. Good fishing areas as well. The trails were adequately groomed and the lake had few very boats driving around. We enjoyed it. Quite different from a busy, cramped, well groomed campground with lots of services. Depends what you like.
