May the sound of happy music, and the lilt of Irish laughter fill your heart with gladness.
"Dubh Linn” translates from Black Pool, the dark pool of w ater that lies beneath the heart of Dublin. Located near St. James Gate Brewery — the home of Guinness since 1759 — these dark waters are said to be the inspiration behind Arthur Guinness’s perfect pint.
The first Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub was designed and crafted in Ireland in 1997, then transported piece by piece across the pond to its new mountain home in Whistler, British Columbia.
Then on August 20, 2015, we opened this fine Vancouver establishment. Yes, Guinness may have been born in Ireland, but its Irish spirit is alive and well at Dubh Linn Gate in South East False Creek. Here, just like our Whistler location, you’ll find plenty of charming people eager to meet you, some spirited live music, 24 draught taps pouring deliciously fresh 20oz Imperial pints, and authentic Irish fare to fill the belly and soothe the soul. It’s a lovely day for a Guinness after all. We invite you to join us, settle in, tip a pint of Guinness and enjoy a taste of Ireland.
