My instructor for my G2 was very nice and gave very clear directions with lot's of time to react. This was my second test and they all were so much nicer than Smiths falls, took all my anxiety away. Highly recommend going to renfrew, even if you fail they're very nice about what you need to work on.
Brought my nephew for G1 written test. I can’t say enough about the employee who was running the administrative side of things today. Just fabulous. We had a power outage during our visit. She was 100% knowledgeable & managed everything with grace and competency. We are coming back as we were not successful in passing our test but truly appreciated how she managed the situation and explained where my nephew went wrong and was encouraging. Our young people need this today and really appreciated that. Great job today!
I came to this drive test school with my Fiancée, and she was well prepared. She had been practicing for months no, struggles no issues, we spend all this this time driving up and waiting for a centre to be open. When we arrive at older women instructor with short hair told my Fiancée she failed the test simply cuz she went to fast merging on the highway but everything else was perfect. I was in the office and overheard her and her main concern was getting through all her appointments, rushing through with a negative and pissy attitude. My fiancee is a safe and confident driver. This person failed her because she saw her as an easy target that would not argue. She wanted to show toughness instead of fairness and I will be letting everyone know this is not a place to be fairly accessed. The instructor said she was from an hour away and normally at a different drive test center, but if they employed her than they are OK with those ridiculous standards.
If you are Autistic or have an anxiety disorder, do not come to this location. I got the examiner called Crystal and she was quite rude the entire time, gave very vague instructions, and got irritated with me when I couldn't SAFELY get into the left lane to turn because of the speed/spacing of the cars in that lane. At the end when she told me what I should've done, it turns out she wanted me to dart between the two cars which meant I would've had to brake check the guy behind to get into the tiny median gap because we were going 50kmh. When I called her out for her tone, she just argued about it. I failed because of a dumb mistake I made at the beginning, so totally not her fault, but her demeaner and attitude made my anxiety spike so hard the entire test was extremely unpleasant. The older lady who was at the desk inside was very nice though!
I've done all my practical tests here and each time they have always been professional, fair, and respectful. They've always been very direct and fair when I failed and it was always for valid reasons. My instructor when I finally passed my G was very respectful and even accommodating, trying to make me feel less nervous when I was driving and asking whether I would feel more comfortable if he talked to me or if I preferred silence. Some other places I've been to they've felt rushed or rude but this place was very put together. I always recommend this place for people looking to do their driving test as I have always had a good experience here. I've had probably 3 different instructors here and they have all been very fair and respectful.
