"Located in the heart of Janesville’s downtown, drafthouse, is a fun, high-energy downtown gastropub that celebrates the richness of American culture through its appetizing and progressive bar fare. Both the restaurant philosophy and menu offerings draw heavily from two barroom staples: beer and spirits.drafthouse is the downtown place-to-be for locals and tourists alike. Set in a warm modernist design, the restaurant and bar supports Wisconsin's brewing community with 24 beers on tap from the state's best breweries. The bar is also fully stocked to suit any other distinguishing palette. The abundant windows show off the interior space to the downtowns successful relaunch. We hope to see you soon!"

Food is very good… the place is beautiful, music was great. This place is definitely a vibe. The drinks are good. I always get the vanilla bean martini. Unfortunately the guys who made it the best are no longer there, so it hasn’t tasted the same every since. This place is definitely one of my go-to spots.Recommended dishesBlackened Salmon, Salmon Tacos, Lobster Mac, Salad, Crab Cakes, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Lobster Mac & Cheese
Had an amazing time at the draft house. My fiancee and I have had some bad luck with restaurants lately and we came here on a whim and we were just blown away with how great the food and staff are. We got the pretzel, swordfish and the pork chop which were all really good and would definitely would re order all of that again. Oh and the cranberry mimosa thing was very good as well. The staff checked on us a lot to make sure we were doing well which was a nice change from the norm of being forgotten about. Plus they were super friendly as well. So we will definitely be coming back in the near future.
Our drinks and dinner were good but it was a bit pricey. They have a nice, small patio area with heaters available. The service was also nice. There is no kids menu.
The drinks and their vast selections are good. They have outdoor seating for those pleasant days out as well. However, some of the food is a real miss and lacks either basic technicality or flavor. The crispy brussel sprouts we ordered were so burnt they lost their flavor and had the texture of nori. I've never eaten such commercially burnt food before, and we should have sent it back. To top it off, the avocado toast had an overwhelming amount of unseasoned egg. The flavors were bland. Where is the acid? Why not add olive oil or pepper? Some of the menu items need some serious work. Overall I would go for drinks and the atmosphere but don't expect to be wow'ed by the food.
Great location, great food! Beautiful presentation on all of the dishes. The lobster Mac and cheese is incredible. Our server Jake was so kind and attentive. We’ll be back soon!
The food was ok, the server was super nice. I ordered the Zesty Salmon Tacos. They were supposed to come with Sriracha sauce and an avocado crema. It came with no sauce and when our server asked the kitchen staff they gave her an orange honey citrus and insisted that was the sauce that was supposed to come on it. My husband ordered the breakfast poboy and it also had no sauce on it. The server asked the kitchen and they said they knew they forgot the aioli but didn't tell her. I.would give our server a 5 for being awesome but the restaurant was just ok.
Ordered Mac N Cheese and Candied Apple Salad for delivery. Food was hot and salad temp perfect. Great food! Fast delivery. Definitely recommend
My wife and I went for brunch with some friends on 11/21. The food was very good, but unfortunately my wife's sandwich and my country fried steak were missing sauces. I didn't mention it because we did order close to the end of service. Other than missing the sauces, the food was plated wonderfully and full of flavor. Drinks were reasonably priced and taste great. The staff was very attentive and helpful. I would absolutely recommend stopping in for a drink or a meal!
This awkward mess is their Blue Cheese Steak Salad -$22. A few pieces of tough, chewy steak with more bacon on it than steak, grilled lettucewhy?, tomatoes and blue cheese crumbles buried on the bottom of the bowl with a plastic cup of blue cheese dressing on the side. Then comes the fun part of trying to cut up all that lettuce and get the ingredients mixed in while trying not spill out of this too small bowl. Busy time at 6:30 on a Saturday night, Sat at the bar. Long ticket times; 80 minutes to get my salad. Offered a drink, and given a menu but not asked if I wanted to order food. I had to ask after several minutes. This was 2nd time here. Night and Day to my first visit for drinks and appetizers on a slower night of the week when the food was appealing and service was friendly and attentive.
It's phenomenal here! If you're a fan of mussels, seriously hands down the BEST mussels I've ever had! Delicious!! Everything else was great too the tuna bowl, salmon, and numerous types of old fashioneds!Dine in: Yes
