Awesome place! It's free if you're just going to look at the outdoor sculpture park and not go inside the museum. Small park but very cute! You can see Seuss statues of characters from the books and movies. There's benches outside to sit and enjoy the day, and a big parking lot. Very nice!
Even on a rainy day, it was well worth the visit! The surrounding museums are very affordable and fun for the whole family, which is highly recommended to check out! A quick walk thru the garden that lies in the center of all the museums, reveals so much history, as well as the beautiful heart of the artwork on display.
Omg, this museum is so cute. The children loved it. Everything is hands on. So they were able to touch everything. They made a project to take home. That was super amazing. The statues were great photo opportunities. Staff was very friendly and bathrooms were clean. Definitely will be returning again.
Visiting and learning more about the life of Dr. Seuss was a wonderful experience. This place has five on property museums that range from fancy original pieces of art to fun and playful engaging areas. I will not spoil the many precious and priceless items because it's fun to discover them. The price is affordable and is for kids ages 0-100+. I think there is a little bit of everything for everyone. I also learned that Dr. Seuss and I share the same birthday, so happy birthday to us. Cheers! I will only post some photos because I took about a million, lol. Playground: The museum has a large outdoor play field where many children gather to climb the Dr. Seuss sculptures. You can also have a picnic or a nice lunch on the benches. Restrooms: There are many restrooms throughout, and they're very clean.
Cool place for the kiddos to play as well as pictures for all ages. Located in the courtyard for the Springfield museums it is free and open to the public. Lots of trees, benches, garbages, ECT to use right there as well if you wanted to have yourself a little picnic
Any Dr. Seuss fan would love this place. It includes original artwork, letters from Dr. Seuss to family and fans, family pictures, awards, and plenty of hands-on activities for young and old. There are sculptures in the garden and a building dedicated to him. The building is two stories plus a small basement. There is only one room that pictures are not allowed to be taken, other than that you are free to take pictures and touch most of the items included. We got there late, if we get the opportunity to return I will definitely give myself more time to enjoy.
Free park to visit with detailed sculptures of Dr. Seuss and his imaginative characters. Went up to Hampshire College to visit the picture book museum and then stopped here out of curiosity. Great place to add to your intineary if you're in the area.
Blast from the past! This place brings back childhood memories in a good way. I remember reading all the Dr. Seuss books growing up so it was fun to see the sculptures of his most popular storybook characters.
Loved it!!!! Had a great time and brought back lots of childhood memories. Also read lots of them to my two children. The statue garden was great and they do a wonderful job keeping the grounds clean.
Absolutely loved this place, and a must see for any Dr Seuss fan! Easy to get to and park, friendly environment and the security guards are helpful as well. Will take the grand kids definitely!
