Dr. Peter A. Blume, DPM FACFAS

I had fallen 30ft. Seen 4 different specialists Dr. Blum was the Foot Dr.. And he diagnosed what the injury is and other major medical issues when the orthopedic specialists could not fig ure out what was making bed ridden and severe pain crippling me and Dr.. Blum did. Now walking talking and smiling ounce in a while instead of crying for a long time. He is the best and really cares about me not just money. Feel he is my frei nd now. He's a great Dr. Great human being. Thank you Dr.. Blum for giving a piece of my life back.

After a failed foot surgery 8 years ago which left me with an intractable wound on the sole of my right foot which could not be healed despite multiple attempts by wound specialists/clinics over many years, I ended up with a very serious infection which necessitated my hospitalization. I was subsequently referred to Dr. Peter Blume of New Haven, CT and upon my first visit with Dr. Blume, he was able to assess the nature and severity of my infection and within less than half an hour of my visit, he had me admitted to Yale New Haven hospital and scheduled for surgery. Dr. Blume then went on to perform surgery to remove infected portions of bones from my foot, prescribe essential antibiotics to treat my infection, and set up VNA visits to assist and monitor the healing process. After only a few months and less than a handful of follow up visits with Dr. Blume, a wound that had significantly impeded my ambulation and the quality of my life, is now fully healed and any traces of infection are now gone. Dr. Blume’s efforts on my behalf and his thoughtful and compassionate treatment of my condition are gratefully appreciated by myself and my family. I would not hesitate to recommend him to other patients with similar injuries/wounds. The care he rendered was exceptional and the outcome was better than I could have hoped for. I had two fusions done, one in Feb and one in August. I had essentially no pain after the surgeries and my recovery was easy, although long. But there has been no unforeseen results and I'm thrilled with the surgeries. I cannot give Dr. Blume higher praise than this. He's a superb doctor.

I got barred by him I'm still infected I have no one to help me I suffering every day with the pain I ask for a second opinions and I'm lost hope I'm afraid I will lose my foot

Dr Blume is best. Everytime I have a problem with my foot I call him before anyone else, he takes his time to figure out what is wrong and he does everything he can to get you better. There is no one that I trust more than him.
