I have been fortunate to have had basically one dentist my entire life, who has now sadly for me retired. Quite recently, I had a dental emergency that unexpectedly brought me to the Gravenhurst Family Dental Care office. I was warmly welcomed into the office and very efficiently registered by the reception team, and quite literally immediately thereafter, accommodated with invaluable dental care for my issue. The office then provided me with a next day follow up visit, where I was afforded exceptional customer service and impressive personalized dental expertise from Dr. Shane Bot and his assisting team member Dental Hygienist, Cassie. This 5 Star Team of dental professionals, warrant being recognized for the wonderful collaborative patient care experience that they provide, and most notably in this case, towards a walk-in customer. I’ve been going to this dentist office my whole life and in the last 5 years I have questioned the quality of treatment but just assumed they knew best. However during my last visit I was seen by a dentist who I’d never seen before and I left in tears. First of all I received a cleaning when I only wanted a checkup on a filling that had broken, and I didn’t realize that they were doing a cleaning until it was halfway done so I was charged for half a cleaning. Secondly i have anxiety about going to the dentist and I was made to feel like I was a huge burden because of it, I was advised I should be unconscious because I “couldn’t handle the treatment” and that if I had to stop partway I’d be charged for the full procedure regardless. That was enough for me to find a new dentist. This new dentist was much more communicative about what treatment I needed and what was going to happen which really made me feel more relaxed. Additionally my new dentist found a cavity and chipped tooth that this dentist didn’t see they showed me with a camera the chip and cavity and advised that one of my fillings had been done incorrectly by my previous dentist and would have to be redone.

Highly recommend this dental practice. I was able to get an emergency appointment the same day I phoned even though I had never been here. I have never had such a thorough exam in years and the dental assistant was very gentle and explained everything to me. The dentist went over the results of the exam with me and prescribed the antibiotics I needed for my infected tooth. We discussed a plan for further appointments to repair my teeth. The dentist explained everything thoroughly and I felt at ease with the upcoming work. The office staff were polite and prompt responding to my inquiry and with sending me notifications for upcoming appointment. Thank you for seeing me and I don’t feel quite as nervous about my future dental appointments.

After a 2 year COVID hiatus, I was pleasantly surprised on the relaxed atmosphere yet the professional care given to ensure my teeth were in good health. Thank you team Gravenhurst FDC.

Mandana and her crew are absolutely fantastic! I have quite a few issues after being lazy about my dental health for many years. I have a long road ahead of me and I so grateful this team has taken me on as a patient. I have always felt respected by them and never was shamed for my poor dental health. Mandana is more gentle than any dentist I have had in the past. After spending the majority of my former years avoiding dental care she and her team were respectful and understanding that I have anxiety issues related to my dental health. They are patient and kind.

Dr Mandana Tehrani Is an awesome dentist! She has wonderful bedside manners and is the best at getting me frozen! Not to mention her work holds up! Her staff are super friendly and make you feel like your in good hands. I came to Mandana after years of not seeing a dentist because I had a horrible experience when I was younger. She Mandana has completely restored my trust and continues to do good work on my teeth. Unfortunately I was blessed with not the greatest teeth so I see her often and I've never been disappointed.

I've found both dentists here to be excellent. Sandy hygienist is absolutely fantastic; never thought I could be so relaxed at a dentist's office to the point where I almost fall asleep while having my teeth cleaned.

I have been a patient there for my entire life. The people who have taken over from the past dentist seem to be out for money and money only. I recently went to a different dentist and they were appalled by the work the dentist has done on my teeth. I now have to get a root canal and multiple other things done to my teeth because she left a space underneath all of my fillings which has resulted in multiple cavity's on all of the teeth she has worked on. I really do suggest not going here.

Best cleaning in town. My wife has been seeing hygienist sandy since she was a kid. New dentist Tehrani is fast and efficient. And the front desk Angela never forgets your name and always greets us with a positive attitude! This office really makes us feel like family every visit :

From the time you arrive and are greeted with a genuine smile to the end of your appointment, the level of care and professionalism is one of the finest I have experianced in a medical related facility / dispensary in Muskoka. My first experience was on a Friday of a long weekend. Dr Tehrani & staff attended to my dental emergency with professionalism, care and compassion, staying beyond their posted hours of business to do so. I have been a patient ever since and the level of care has not changed since that first encounter years ago.
