My practitioner of 30+ years retired, and I was left with a spiteful woman who barely speaks English, wouldn't show up to appointments, and refused to fill my prescriptions that had kept my life going for a decade before she arrived, because her altruism felt that she could just fix clinical intercostal neuralgia by doing absolutely nothing. If this is what my 40% gross income taxes are paying for, Canada is being severely ripped off. I often wonder how my career would've gone if I didn't have my medications cut off for weeks at a time, if Donald had a few more years left in him after my work injury.
All I needed was one X on a page before 2pm to get lab work done for kidney stones. The first time she sent it in the morning, it was not filled out correctly. I said please add one X so I can make my appointment. She was "two busy" to take two seconds for this and I ended up going to EMERG and getting it done within an hour. She ended up sending it to me hours later when I no longer needed it she knew this. The day prior to this I was told in the morning that she was there and was sending responses to my questions. When I called at the end of that same day I was told by reception she could not answer me because she was not in that day. She does not care about her patients at all and reception has no clue what they are doing. Calling me when I'm waiting for a very important call from them to say "oops I called you by mistake". They also don't speak to one another so you have to reexplain everything each time to hear "I was unaware of this sorry" and get a totally different answer. If you're in pain- don't wait for her to help you, just go elsewhere.
So many instances where she's too busy to see anyone from my family or refuses to send to a specialist. Multiple times! Also receptionists are beyond rude. Go anywhere else! Save yourself from heartache. New addition: refuses to refill prescriptions and when pharmacist called they claim we aren't patients even though there were appointments with her a few weeks ago. Absolutely the worst.
I think Dr Diaz is an excellent doctor. Every time I see her I feel heard and like she genuinely cares about my health and mental well being. I feel validated because she always remembers small things about me and seems to be aware of what I'm talking about when I mention my work and family life changes. She is the first doctor to diagnose me properly and finally find a medicine that actually works and it has honestly changed my life. My only complaint is that I know going into my appointments that I will be waiting 30-45 minutes after my scheduled appointment before I get in to see her so I ensure I have enough time for that and I do agree with many other reviews that reception isn't very friendly.
Dismissive. Acts as though she has no time for you, even when you've booked an appointment. Will often run over time with some patients and then try to 'solve' your problems in the doorway of her exam room - like she's trying to get rid of you before you've even begun. She is disinterested. In two years and only three appointments she never once gave me the impression that she was invested in my health. When I asked questions to deepen my own knowledge or raise a concern, I was spoken down to or brushed off entirely. Did I say dismissive? Probably the most dangerous attribute any so-called 'Doctor' can demonstrate towards a patient. I almost wish I had been paying for her services so I could have had the satisfaction of firing her. As it was, her reception staff is so incompetent that even after being told explicitly to remove me from their patient list, I have since received patient-directed communications from her office. Be wary: Doctors in Canada receive $$$ from the government for simply HAVING your name on their patient list, not for seeing you or keeping you healthy. If you don't visit Liliana or don't like her but are still a "patient" of hers - call in and remove yourself. Just in case you're thinking "terrible humans can be good doctors anyway" let me share that she attempted to "diagnose" a rash and usher me away without even looking at it, all while holding me in the public hallway outside of her exam room. If you care about your physical and mental well-being as you must, if you're reading this, FIND ANY OTHER DOCTOR.
My entire family, including my parents, switched to Dr Diaz a couple of years ago and couldn't be more thankful that we did. We really appreciate her positive and pro-active approach to our health and she always answers our questions in a supportive, professional, and kind manner. We highly recommend her to others!!
Dr. Diaz has always been professional and effective in every interaction I've had with her. Given her general demeanour, I can understand how she may come across as not overly empathic, but she has always made me feel as though I was being listened to and that she cares about my well-being. This isn't to say she is NOT empathic - I've found her to be so on many an occasion, just that she doesn't wear her heart on her sleeve. Compassionate and competent. I'm glad I have her as my family physician.
I'm. It sure what experiences other people have had, but it has never been mine. Dr. Diaz is fantastic. Caring, engaged and provides solutions that worked. She's a pleasure to talk to and I find her empathetic. Much better than .u last physician. I feel lucky to have her.
Worst ever experience with reception.I called because my daughter was sick, she said to come after 5 pm after hour clinic, no appointment during day time. I asked if I have to wait for 8 hrs to see a doctor then why not I should go to a walk in clinic. She argued what difference would 8 hrs make so I asked for an explanation of her statement. She said I can't talk to her like that, I replied my call is not for entertainment instead medical attention for my daughter. I said very softly this is the very reason Dr. Diaz rating is 2.7 on Google and most related to receptionist. After hearing this she said I was about to give you an appointment but I was not letting her to speak. I said if you would have given me this appointment straight away rather then pushing for after hr clinic. This conversation will be over by now. I need to see my options here A complaint or change of doctor.
I call and every time shes away. For now while I experience ovarian cysts bursting often 2 times a month at least ... Pain comparable with labour she just wants to watch it. I fill a toilet with blood and she nust wants to see it via ultra sound. Id give her zero if i could seeing how i cant get anywhere a d she has me running around to get her my medical documents from prior doctor that is a 2 hr drive away... If your looking for a good doctor you wont find it in her go some where else emergency would resolve your troubles her she may be available once you know every 6 months
