Dr. Hunter M.D., FACOG, NCMP

Dr. Hunter is VERY knowledgeable and an excellent doctor. My expectations are high when it comes to the doctors I go to and Dr. Hunter meets those expectations. I appreciate the fact that she’s fast but thorough. After all who likes to go to lengthy doctor appointments? I certainly don’t.

I'm sure Dr. Hunter is a knowledgable doctor, but the bedside manner could be MUCH improved. She inserted my IUD and it was quick and easy. I had excrutiating pain for weeks following. I called and she said 'just wait it out', so I did. After two weeks I was still in such horrible pain that I requested an emergent appointment where she spent a total of 2 minutes examining me and said to wait it out again. Still a week later, lots of pain. She ordered an ultrasound for me. I looked up my own images and report which found a 3x4 cm cyst in my left ovary. Dr. Hunter never called me to follow up, which she didn't seem to care or believe me in the first place. I'll be trying Capital Womens Care on the 2nd floor of the same building. Two stars because I love the office staff!

I did not go by the reviews prior to visiting Dr.Lilian Hunter because everyone's experience is different and I wanted to be the best judge for myself. My first appointment at 8weeks was not with her as she was on vacation so I actually met her the first time at 12 weeks. We went in for the regulars like weight, blood pressure check and everything and after that was done, Dr.Lilian came over and took us to her office. Most of the time she was talking which is only about 2-3 minutes in total, she was not looking at me or my husband but she had a computer in front of her in which she was either typing or looking at it while speaking to us. I found that unfriendly because firstly, as my doctor I expected her to ask how I was doing but she did not. And she was mostly focused on her computer and it felt more like I was talking to a financier than a doctor. She has nothing much to ask or say to us and ended the conversation with "Any questions?". I told her I had continuous nausea and vomiting and she said that is normal and did not bother to provide any good suggestions on how I can control it. She also said I would have to schedule my next visit after 5 weeks and during that visit I would have my anatomy done for gender check. I was very disappointed after the first visit but thought I would give her one more chance to see if maybe it was just a misunderstanding. During my visit at 18 weeks, she spent even lesser time with us in the office less than 2 minutes, again looking at her computer most of the time, did not check on my health or how I was doing. When we asked her about the ultrasound, she asked us back "Did you not schedule it?". Cmon, how is a patient supposed to know if we need to schedule it unless we are told? Every hospital and process is different, so this was absolutely ridiculous to us and we were so frustrated when we heard that from her. We couldn't do the test that day and had to move it to the following week. Basically, she is not friendly, not caring, not informative and not a good doctor especially for a first time pregnancy. I definitely do not NOT recommend her if you are looking for all these qualities in your ob/gyn. After our 2nd visit, we immediately changed our doctor.

Dr. Hunter is wonderful! She is kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I always feel comfortable in her care! Would highly recommend.
