Dr Hook are nothing but con artists and crooks! Called them at 830pm and told them I had a popped tire and was missing the jack and arm to drop my spare. They assured me they could drop my spare and change it for me and would be there in an hour. More than 3 hours later they finally show up and tell me they can only tow me and will charge me 4x more than they quoted me on the phone. So they say they can help, make you wait until you are as desperate as possible, and then they try taking as much money from you as possible. I refused to be scammed so they drove off and left my wife and I stranded in -30.Service: Tire change
Workers are good and get along with them fine but the dispatcher is a rude little bi*ch. giving me attitude and making it sound like a tow is an inconvenience, ITS YOUR JOB YOU JACKA$$. Would love to see him talk to me like that face to face, punk
We have worked with many tow companies over the years but the service we received from Dr Hooks was unmatched. We were in touch with Kyle and he helped us figure out everything. I had a flat tire on my vehicle after coming back from a month long trip. Dr Hook, although extremely busy gave me a 2.5 hour estimate to arrive. I scheduled a tow however after about 20 mins I caught a can to buy an air pump. I returned after a half an hour and was just calling to cancel the tow when the truck showed. They made a schedule change to get to me a little quicker. Although I did not need them I really appreciated that effort they made to help me I would recommend them anytime.
This was a great experience, as great as having to get your vehicle towed late at night could be. The person on the phone was great and was offering a few different options. I would like to comment about my driver. I don’t remember his name… my tire and rim had just flown off as I was driving I wasn’t paying attention to anything other that what could be damaged. His driver number on the receipt is 370 truck number 38. He was absolutely AMAZING. He came right around the that I was told, within a few minutes due to weather. He was knowledgeable and careful with my vehicle. He kept double checking to make sure everything was going proper. He even went under my vehicle and told me what was needed to be done and what was damaged/ not damaged. It was the same way when he was at my house taking it off the flat bed. I also drained my battery when I was waiting and he boosted my vehicle. I had asked him for advice if I needed to boost it that evening. He told me that since it started quick everything seemed fine. He was extremely friendly and did make me feel better. I was worried that there was more damage. I would give him more stars if I could. I was freaked out and he definitely made me feel a bit better.Service: Special vehicle towing
My car was towed by another company that didn't have a sign in the lot so I called Dr. Hook and the rep that I got was so helpful. He helped me figure out where my car was even though it really wasn't his problem. Above and beyond service! Thank you
EDIT: Nice to see that the company doesn't acknowledge how unprofessional they are - and directly dives to try to shame it's "clients". Even better to know that I have it on record with a phone screen grab - but hey, spreading private knowledge to try to shame them into submission is neat. Too bad they're showing their bad side -- I'm not backing down. The review stays. Vehicle was towed and was told to call customer service, noting that a release form was required from a secondary party. Calling the initial party to email the form, I followed up with DR Hook moments after. A disgruntled "gentleman" answered and had no interest in helping, nor found the email. I make note that I'll check with the initial party for an update. Indeed the email was sent. I call DR Hook to say so. "Oh my god! Would you just get over it!? They didn't send it, what don't you get?! Just give me your number and I'll call when it's here, OKAY?!" -- HANGS UP ON ME. Unbelievable! Call the initial party, they send it a second time -- Call DR Hook -- there it is! "Oh my god! I told these guys you'd call back!! Wow, oh well, we found it. Whatever. You can come and pay." ARE YOU SERIOUS? This is the type of business we're forced to endure? I go inside finally with everything ready -- constant side-eyes, disinterest in service, and of course the wonderful $325 fee. To be expected, but still just the cherry on top. If you need a reliable, professional tow - Erik Olson, HHH Towing, Gateway Towing, & Master Towing are FAR more humane and standardized and the rates are realistic. 1/10,000 - extremely dissatisfied.
My car got stuck on the slope behind pony corals parking at pembina. It was super ice-ey and slippery. Dr hook came in 20 mins with 2 trucks to pull it out. One of their own tow truck got stuck with my car attached to it and they had to call another bigger tow truck which pulled both the truck and my car out of there. Only reson I am giving 4 stars is because the second tow truck driver didn't even try to go down to get my car out and because their prices are very high.
This company for my experience is one of the worst ever I called them the night before and wait 8 pm to 12 noon next day for the car to be picked up call several times and all the time they say the car is going to come and pick it up nothing happened never my client got mad and I start losing business.Service: Car towing
