Downtown Auto Edmonton

Brought my truck in for an alignment after installing a new power steering rack. The tech got the alignment within spec using only the tie rods, however one of them wasn't threaded in very far due to the steering shaft being misaligned on the rack. He notified us of this problem, however he claimed he didn't have enough time to fix it properly. I took the truck home and spent 15 mins fixing this with a buddy. The service was friendly and I appreciate the tech bringing concerns to my attention, but it's a shame he couldn't be bothered to spend an extra 10-15 minutes to fix it properly.

Great service. I can see why my Dad’s been coming here for years. Midas gave me a long list of problems after an oil change. Brought my car to Downtown Auto and found out none of their problems actually needed fixing. They only did what was needed. I won’t be going back to Midas but will definitely return to Downtown Auto.

Brought my vehicle here with no heat in the cab, they gave me a list of repairs worth a couple thousand dollars involving the suspension, seeping transmission lines and torn cv boots. I mentioned none of this involved the heat in the cab which was the only triage I had approved, they refused to do any other work unless this other list was also taken care of. I politely declined but they wouldn’t return my keys unless I gave them $80 to cover the cost of them checking over the vehicle. Highly recommended for auto services. Jim and his crew are very knowledgeable including the front desk staff. They don't up sale you anything and are very honest with their pricing. I was able to phone and get in within the same day for services. My dealership told me i needed complete fluid flush so I took it into Downtown Auto, and immediately was told all my fluids were in great condition. Nothing to say but AMAZING SERVICE! I came in for an out-of-province inspection and was done within an hour and a half! Great price and service by Richard and his team! I will definitely be going back for future car needs!
