Best fish in town! We have had take out from this place numerous times but never had chance to dine in until today. The fish is well seasoned and super flavorful. And the fried fish head and fish bones are surprisingly good, will definitely recommend it! Also the owners are extremely nice and attentive, we'll definitely come back again!
Went to this place July 29 2022 and I can say the fish is so good, so fresh and so tender. Got the supreme thick soup fish fillet and the dish made two people very happy. A bit pricey but no regrets.
We come here regularly for breakfast / lunch on weekends and the quality never disappoints! Today we ordered the tofu stew, fried dough, black bean noodles, and the famous roast fish. The portions are massive so we had lots of leftovers too. If you are craving some authentic Chinese breakfast, lunch, or dinner at a reasonable price would definitely recommend DouHua. Sorry forgot to take pictures of the famous fish we finished it too quickly The service is also super friendly and this is a family run business so please support!
Spent $68.00 on lobster dish for 2, was very tasty, but limited on veggie dishes available. Chinese cabbage was served in some liquid, like a soup. Overcooked…not what I expected! Service was good only about 6 - 8 tables available. We ate and drank soft drinks/ tea in paper plates and plastic cups. I don’t think the restaurant has a dishwasher. Even grease spoon places serve with proper ceramic plates and cups/ glasses. Has no liquor licence, no wine or beer available. No sign disclosing this at the entrance. Very disappointing, except the lobster in ginger/scallion sauce! I would only go back for this dish. We felt MSG was used, that our mouths were dry and very thirsty, when we got home. Many changes need to be made, if the owners value clients and want them to go back for a better experience! Parking: Restaurant was not full on a Saturday night, parking had enough spots. Wheelchair accessibility: Adequate.
family style restaurant with tasty food of large portion. 3 of us ordered a set menu, ended up packing enough food for dinner. Douhua is silky tofu in Chinese, from the taste we know it's homemade fresh daily for sure. Would definitely be back again!
Been there for lunch. Orderedthe recommended tofu fish combo, which include a fresh fish soup, cold Juegen Noodle, cold black fungus, sour vegetable and beed fired rice, fried chicken bone. The food was decent, with huge portion. Three of us didnt finish it. The food was also very tasty overall, no doubt a lot of spice, salts were used. We ordered the sour fish soup, which is not spicy at all, and to my disappointment, there was no tofu flower in it. Beside, the food was on the oily side. Not recommend if you are on diet.
The fish is fresh and yummy!
i love this restaurant and it’s authentic taste reasonable price kind staff lovely decoration we’re a regular customer going to gatekeep this restaurant overall underrated hidden gem!
Delicious food and nice staffs. Strongly recommended!
We ordered the thick soup seafood dish which is more than enough for two. It came with a deep fried fish head & belly pieces loaded with fried garlic. Delicious soup with generous ingredients.
