We are on a week-long biking trip from Victoria. On Saturday afternoon I was having big problems with my shifting. In a panic I saw that this shop would be closed on Sunday and Monday- thus I hightailed it and got there 5 minutes before closing. I explained my predicament and heard that it was far too big a problem to be fixed before closing time. BUT... the gentleman who was finishing up his work week took a fair bit of time and a lot of effort. All because he is a biker and gets what was important, because he understood that he was there to help, and most of all because he was a saint. He made my week!!!

My experience with Double O Bikes has been excellent. I've been well treated by both Oliver and Osoyoos shops. They carry some of the best value bike brands available in Canada. I would call myself a high maintenance customer and the patience and professionalism of both shops get top marks. Most importantly, the bike I ordered was assembled and professionally set up the same day it arrived. Excellent, considering the shop only has one man in a busy season. Concerning the poster who gave 2 out of 5 stars: there are excellent visitors centers for finding out where the best hiking and cycling paths are. It's not the job of the local bike shop to act as a visitors centre. As far as ending up at a swamp, the only places I can think of are the wetland areas off Road 22 and along the canal, which to me are beautiful.

We were in Osoyoos on a busy August weekend and got flat tires on 4 of our bikes. I showed up 5 minutes before opening and the store was already open and the lone technician/manager/cashier already had rental bikes outside and was ready for business! He said the bikes would be ready in an hour and they were! Great service, went the extra mile (minor adjustments to the bikes) and all the fixes were great! Highly recommend this store. It's well laid out, great selection and reasonable prices for a seasonal business in a seasonal town.
