We had a lovely site close to the river. There's a fair amount of shade and it's a go...

This is an older hotel...modestly renovated. It represents a calmer era in Nanton, Alberta. Even one can find an old labour standard article dated back to the early 1970s on the back of a door...minimum wage then was $2 per hour. I enjoyed the kindness of the young couple from Harbin with their very cute, outgoing baby girl. At the age of 1.5 years, she is already saying "computer" and can teach you basic Mandarin...by pointing at the wall clock. I found my stay quiet, calming, and the room was clean with basic necessities. I enjoyed examining the older, antique-ready heater. If one has any interest, this is a great spot to stay if you do not like noise and crowds. You can venture out without being run over by cell-phone distracted people in this tiny town and enjoy an earlier era. It is like a time-machine...takes you back a few decades! The Motel is thankfully not franchised and the room rate is affordably reasonable. Check-Out time was flexible and social for me.
