This place rocks! I've been hearing great things about Dos Eppi's for a while, and my wife and I finally made it in. Now, we feel like we've been missing out! We loved the Puerto Rican rice and beans; we had Queso Bowls, one with pork and one barbacoa. Plenty of fresh toppings are added to your liking. We also had the tostones, which were a real eye-opener. We liked them so much, we ordered a dozen tostones to go. We will be stopping back for lunch and to grab more tostones whenever we head through downtown Defiance! Special thanks to Maddie behind the counter for recommending to us first-timers what the “regulars” get!
Did not expect to find Puerto Rican restaurant in Defiance, let alone a really good one. The P.R. bowl was fantastic, the cabbage slaw perfectly cut the richness of the other ingredients. And the tostones I will be back.
My food was cold, the tortillas on the enchiladas was very mushy. The food was out into a cardboard takeout box that was soggy by the time I got home. Another order I asked for beef tacos and received chicken. This was my first visit and last visit.Food: 1/5
I didn't even know this place was there, a friend of mine showed me it. It's great. Great food, great everything. Very reasonable priced. I recommend this placeFood: 5/5
dos eppis was amazing!! the most authentic food in defiance and the service was THE BEST!! no complaints whatsoever
EPIC they have mexican food and Bomb ass puerto rican Jibaritos. Try it. Authentic. No comparison to Americanized latin resturaunts.
The best Mexican and Puerto Rican food in town.Food: 5/5
Great food and a really caring staff, highly recommend!
Very good so far but I've only tried a few items. I love their enchiladas cause they make them EXACTLY like I do at home! So if I dont want to make them...I've got somewhere to get them. Their the only restaurant I've encountered that makes an enchilada gravy from a flour rue instead of a sauce from chiles. That's how I like it. And yes...they use El Milagro corn tortillas...just how I like it. The carnitas street tacos were a bit bland for my liking but tastes better with the salsa. I loooove their Puerto Rican rice and beans! They are obviously homemade and very tasty! The beef empanadas were a no for me...they were greasy and dry. My daughter tried the fish tacos and she loved them. Menu is a bit pricier than I expected but I'll definitely be back to try more things on the menu! The white lady taking and serving orders is always nice and attentive.
Used to be my favorite place to eat. I would get a burrito bowl and sub the chicken for a little extra rice and beans. I went in today to ask for the same thing I’ve always ordered and the lady told me she wouldn’t substitute for anything except the veggies which I also don’t like. I feel a bit wronged by the fact that I’ve been getting that order and now I’m paying the same price for less food just because of my food texture issues, and that the meat specifically is one of the most expensive ingredients. If/when I go back if it’s the same thing, I’m just going to ask for the meat in a separate container so I can feed to my dogs or something.
