Great food and even nicer people. The waiter never let my glass be empty. She was great and did an amazing job. The food is really good. I got the dumplings and the popcorn chicken. The chicken had this really unique seasoning to it that I haven’t tasted anywhere else. It’s really cozy!

I really love the place! I went there with a friend, and we really liked it! It's a really small place, perfect for a group of 2! The food is good, and the service is really fast! We took three entries together, and one meal each and everything was excellent! I'll go back for sure, and I recommend this place to everyone!

its a literal little hole in the wall. Taiwanese/Japanese Fusion Went looking for somewhere new to eat with friends as we were hungry for flavor and discovered this homey looking place. The dishes are so unique tasting and good that you start to question your taste buds from previous dishes at other restaurants you had and be like "huh, didn't think these flavors mix well together but gawd damn!" Would recommend going but not as a too big group as it could get crowded easily.

I thought it was quite good. The staff are amazing and they do everything there. Cute vibes in the restaurant.. The portions are smaller so you gotta get a main and a side to be full. Rice is delicious. The only thing I would say is, the egg on the Gyudon came ice cold which was a bit unpleasant but otherwise the dish was delicious

I read lots of good reviews about this place so I’m not sure if we just came at a bad time. We were seated in front of the chefs so we saw the cooking - we noticed that the dumplings they served were pre-made ones you could get at the restaurant, so we were a bit taken aback by that. Additionally, while others have said the service was good, I found that the service was pretty negligent. Other reviews said their glasses were never empty, but I finished my water early on and never got a refill. Additionally, we ordered tea at the beginning but it didn’t come till at least an hour later, after we asked the waitress about it again. Given all that, the food was pretty tasty. It gave home-y vibes, but the flavor profile was pretty shallow. I hate to write bad reviews and usually don’t, but I think the only redeeming qualities were it tasted pretty good and it was cheaper than the other restaurant we wanted to go to but was full :

This review doesn’t actually contain ginger ale as I got a ginger tea but I’m the captain of my own ship and this ginger ale review account so I will still keep true to my ethics and review my dinner at the lovely DonDonYa. I ordered the Thai chicken and the ginger tea with brown sugar and it absolutely did not disappoint. A lovely meal I gobbled down with my friends after a fun adventure at a gallery opening. I loved the atmosphere and will be coming back for sure

Super tasty food. The service was super fast and the food was very fresh. The fried tofu is amazing and the sauce was very flavourful and not too spicy. Definitely recommend coming here for their udon noodle bowl with tofu !Recommended dishesFried Tofu, Soup

→ I've been to DonDonYa yesterday and it was great. Actually, I was on day 4 after lower wisdom tooth removal, so I could only eat soft food. I got yasai udon soup with tofu and my bf got Tonkatsu. The portions were large. The food was authentic and great tasting. Especially, tonkatsu was so crunchy and delicious. I've only tried a tiny piece and I promise that I'll come back for the tonkatsu when I could eat normally. → The decoration here was so unique and interesting. It seemed like everything was handmade and I loved it so much. There was an amazing hand-painted menu with some food illustrations. It grabbed my attention immediately. Under the board, there were some books to read while waiting for the food. The menu was displayed on a cute mini album, making it so nostalgic and adorable. I also love their tables and chairs. They were so small and lovely. → Also, the price was affordable and the staff was nice and friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! ‍

Such a hearty meal super comforting the food is fresh. I had the curry fried chicken bowl. Freshly made the customer service is excellent. The atmosphere is very warm. Loved it

This place is so cute. The service is great and attentive even close to closing time. The food is bomb and you get a lot for a good price. Definitely coming back to try more!
