I had an extremely unsettling experience with a TTC bus driver license plate 661 1BK at 11:10AM September 26, 2024 that left me both furious and deeply concerned for public safety. This driver was speeding excessively, clearly trying to rush through his route not for any legitimate reason, but to stop at Aroma Espresso Café for his own personal coffee break! The entire bus was forced to sit and wait for 10 minutes while he leisurely went inside to get his coffee. This blatant disregard for both the schedule and the passengers’ time caused me to be late for an important meeting, which is unacceptable.nnWhat’s even more alarming is the way the driver was recklessly speeding to make up time — I didn’t feel safe for a moment on that bus. He was more concerned with satisfying his own needs than ensuring the safety and comfort of those he was transporting. This kind of behavior shows a total lack of professionalism and responsibility.nnGiven the danger posed to passengers and the irresponsible use of a public bus for personal errands, I strongly believe this driver should face serious consequences, including suspension. No one should ever feel unsafe or disrespected while using public transportation, and this behavior is a major violation of the trust that passengers place in TTC. Immediate action is needed to prevent this from happening again.
I went on the subway for the first time in 25 years yesterday and it was a good experience the wait time wasn't long and the technology was amazing compared to what I was used to in the 80s and early 90s I do think that they should make the transfers 3 hours because with delays which are very very frequent your transfers often expire if you're taking long trips from city to city! I also think that more education on fair fees and day passes should be available more people would use the bus if they were aware of what is actually available!
Well maintained parking lot and facility. Lots of parking spaces for cars waiting to pick up their loved ones/passengers from the subway or buses. The location is very good, linked to the mall and very close to the main road.
The station is convenient and serves its purpose effectively. However, there are occasional issues with the bus schedules; at times, the timing seems misaligned, leading to a buildup of passengers waiting for the next bus. This scheduling hiccup can create overcrowding and delays during peak hours. With a bit more attention to synchronizing bus arrivals, the overall experience at Don Mills could be significantly improved. Despite this, it’s still a good station with a lot of potential.nnFollow me for more local insights
Coming from Ottawa, it's easy to say how well organized and clean the Toronto transit is. I wish that we had even half of what Toronto does in the transit department.
