Love this place. I can walk to it. I normally find what I need here and before I traveled to Sick Kids Toronto for my child with a tumor Oct-Dec 2025, a beautiful Grandma-type lady bought my Dollarama haul and it was $50. It was mostly for my kids There was even one near the hospital. Thank you.
I come here often. It’s a nice store, clean and organized. In the past 3 weeks I have spent close to 300$ in Christmas decorations. As we are participating in a Christmas parade. I bought LOTS of Christmas lights. I bought many Christmas lights all warm white. Expect one box was marked warm white and it it a cold white. I can not have all warm white and this one be cold white. We explained this to the manager and the refused to help up. My husband wanted to test a new set before buying to make sure it was not mislabeled and the store manager refused!!!!!!!!nI understand this is a dollar store but should you not have the right to have the proper item that was PAID FOR !!!!!!!!
I went to get some office organizers. They had these wooden ones that fit my decor, I need 3 for my home office. There were only 4 left. I went to the cash out paid, and when I was putting them in my bag I noticed that the corner was smash up so, the clerk told me to go just grab another one. I went back to the shelf, grabbed it and the last one was broken too. The fasteners holding the side on were loose and one side wasn’t at all secured to it. He asked another clerk to go see if they had any others in stock. She came back later with the one from the shelf that was broken. Tried to pass it off as good and make me take it. I assumed they just tried to push it back together to pass it off as not broken. I flicked the side of it to show that no, it was broken as well. Because I needed 3 I asked if I could just switch out these other two, for different ones that were the same price. They said no, and that they would just give me my money back for only the one that was broken. So now I am left with not enough letter trays that I need. Have to go out and hunt more for the 3rd, which this was the only store I found that carried them. When you could easily just switch which ones I was getting, no refunds, just an easy exchange. I get that they don’t do exchanges, but considering I hadn’t even walked out of the building. I feel like this experience was handled so incredibly poorly. I also recognize that the staff were just upholding company policy. But this was a terrible experience, and I have been a long time employee in management and customer facing roles.
Really crowed, the line to pay was 10+ min.
Today i went and bought some insoles for my shoes but when i got to the cash i almost the women smelt so bad like body odor that i had to tell her which I did in a low tone and expected her to say sorry and move me on but she was insulted and called me racist. Smelling bad and proper sanitary cleaning of yourself has nothing to do with race it has to do with hygiene. I was taken a back and very insulted this may be why she qas trying to hide it with a huge sweater in 30 degree weather but why not just buy some deodorant its litterally sold there and they have the clinical stuff if your the type that needs it. I was not trying to be rude but in Canada we believe in hygiene and free health care there is no reason for this or the attitude. This is coming from a very disappointed frequent customer. Pls speak to this person tnku
