Literally just walked out of the store realized that what I bought was broken it wasn’t even 9pm and the lady licked the door behind me I went to turn around to say hey this is broken can I get another one. And she cuts me off we are closed and walked away like really rude and it’s 8:57 you don’t close till 9pm you can’t take one second and grab me one that’s not broken. I work in the plaza and honestly this girl was so rude long hair glasses. I’ve never been so mad. People just don’t care anymore!!! If you hate your job that much get a new one. Close at 9:00 couldn’t be bothered for a min.
Why are their employees unfamiliar with what money looks like? I went to purchase a $5 vase from the dollar store and thought paying with cash would be quicker. I was asked where I acquired my $10 bill from, to which I responded the bank. Then a manager who was clearly uninformed about recent bills looked at my ten dollar bill confused, held it up to the light and said we can’t accept it. Now here is my question, if they suspect that I have counterfeit money, why wouldn’t they notify the authorities? Instead they asked me for another form of payment, to which i paid with a $20 note. So they suspected that there is a problem with my cash but then take a higher denomination? I asked the manager to google what the ten dollar notes look like and she said she can’t use her phone during work hours. Perhaps its time to consider the quality of customer service that you are hiring, training them on what money looks like, and how you manage fraud accusations. Clearly any other store has no issue with this bill, including the ATM.

When I walked in they said I had 3 minutes left. With 1 minute remaining, the cashier and the staff inside shouted at me and told me that I had one minute. I said okay, a few seconds passed, hurry up again. You have one minute. I said OK. Before my minute was up, they again acted in the same way, with bad attitudes and bad attitudes, as if they were going to fire me. This is such a bad place. Please review the employees. Lovely place, lovely staff and always got the shelves stocked accordingly there is often empty boxes laying around at no fault of the staff members people stealing have such disregard for anything and will put their leftover packaging anywhere but I've never had a problem here and they're one of my favorite Dollarama stores by far.
