This place is like home away from home. Very convenient, the Ptarmigan hotel, Doghouse, Keys Restaurant, all in one building. Right in the heart of Hay River, CIBC bank next door, super market across the street, liquor store just at the back. You couldn't ask for more.nThe Doghouse has a great menu, and I love Wednesday because it is wings night, Saturdays Karaoke and sometimes live band.nHighly recommend this place
The Dill Chicken Burger was absolutely incredible, Definitely recommended I had it with out onion.nnVery cozy soup hearty well worth the coat of the food, Great server was very kind and knowledgeable of menu and local favorites, Seems as she remembers reoccurring customers and that's important.nnStrongly recommend going here.nnMeat lovers pizza was something else though would not recommend to order that
Our group ordered barge burgers. Good service, good food, it came nice and hot! Cool little pub. Could have a better selection of craft brews. It would have been nice to see a few NWT brews.
Lamb chops every Thursday special was legit . I strongly recommend everyone to taste this my gosh.
Maybe I'm sheltered, but had my first Monte Cristo sandwich today. This is probably the most unhealthy sandwich ever, but darn it was delicious! Served with a small bowl of home made chicken soup. Simple lunch but I was really impressed.nnThe cherry on top here was the waitress that was run off her feet that managed to refresh our drinks. I've eaten here before, but today was really good! Will definitely be back for lunch again.
