Great shop with a large selection of loose leaf tea and knowledgeable staff. We picked up some hibiscus and green tea and a new diffuser for 12 bucks - and it's the nicest one we have owned! Dobra has a little tea bar too to come in and grab a cup of tea and enjoy it with a book or a friend on one of the nice tables or chairs! It's a cozy place that has quality teas and very fair prices. If you are a fan of tea or curious to try some new teas it's a guaranteed good time!
Super relaxing vibe. They have a wide selection of teas, and some snacks. But the best part is how calming the atmosphere is. You can take off your shoes and sit in a darker area. The drinks were nice. Except our to-go orders were just water-y. They do even have boba tea but it's not quite the same as other places while it's also lacking much flavor. Overall. It's a must experience, and really recommend going in to sit down.
Went to this place in there old location and they seemed a bit rude than but wanted to try them again at there new location. However after reading what seems like a list of rules and that they decide what you will pay for a tip I’ve decided against it. I have no problem tipping but prefer to do it on my own. The rules are reasonable but just in my own opinion seems a bit like school than going out for an enjoyable experience. I’m sure it’s a great place and I hope others enjoy it, for me it just doesn’t work.
The tea is very good. The baked goods and treats are pretty good. The service is okay. The people are nasty. I’ve been coming for over a decade because there’s no place like it. And they are usually fairly nice to me, but I’ve seen them mistreat customer after customer for absolutely no reason other than bad attitude. And they give off a strong “we’re better than and more knowledgeable than you” vibe.
Great atmosphere. Tea, soup, and lemon lavender tea cakes were fabulous. My daughter and I were visiting Burlington for a tour at UVM and we decided to make a weekend out of it. We wanted to check out all the shopping and local restaurants we could squeeze into the weekend. Of the five restaurants we visited, this was the only one that didn't mess up an order and everything we got was delicious. It was literally our last stop before our trip home so thank you Dobra, for leaving us with such a positive dining experience.
I had a great experience here. The way they serve the tea is so cute... They bring you out an individual teapot and a little tiny cup on a tray. The lavender lemon tea cake was amazing and the sweet rice bowl was so unique, like nothing I've eaten before.
Wow, would never guess this charming, cozy tea house is a chain!!! It’s like a zen sanctuary or like you’re in the East Asian section of an art museum. Lovely assortment of matcha based tea. We tried one with dragon in it? Had matcha and mint, which was really refreshing and unexpected in a good way. Don’t be afraid to ask before ordering, staff is very helpful.
An absolute gem! Whether or not you are already a connoisseur of tea, prepare to be amazed and delighted. Staff are the best, and it is a fantastic place to find a break from hectic society.
I've been to another Dobra Tea before and loved the setting and tea selection - this one didn't disappoint either. The seating area is so peaceful and full of plants, and the decor is really lovely. There are standard woven chairs with tables, but also areas to sit on cushions on the floor. I got the baba ganoush plate and an herbal chai. Both were great, but the plate seemed incredibly overpriced. I paid $9 for a small bowl of baba ganoush, some slices of flatbread that ended up being a thin tortilla, and a few slices each of cucumber, celery, and carrots. After tax and tip, my bill was $20 for something that wasn't filling at all. I still love Dobra, but I wouldn't go there to get anything to eat, or I'd split the plates with a friend as a small snack.
The decor and ambience is great, it's cozy and easy to spend many hours sipping tea and reading here. It's a bit pricey, especially given the small portions, but I think you get the most 'bang for your buck' when you spend an hour or two and soak in the laid- back teahouse atmosphere.
