First of all, the chicken is not fried but roasted. They don't even put breadcrumbs on it. Secondly, the cheese on the poutine taste not fresh at all. Overall, it was a bad experience for us and not recommended it. It taste not good at all.
Stopped here before Christmas. Got the 2 piece chicken, fries and coleslaw. The chicken was awesome, not greasy. Ate all my fries...no hard ones. Very impressed with the food. Will be back again. Keep up the great service to your customers.Food: 4/5
Chicken poutine for the win! Big ol' serving, lots of curds and meat. Very good price for the amount of food. Very clean restaurant. I usually won't eat Dixie lee south of Mirimachi, but this was REALLY good!
Best Bang for your Buck poutine in fredericton. Good quality/quantity for the price, gravy is salty but good, fries are nice and crispy and the cheese is alright.
I gave 1 star for the girl that took our order since she was very nice. I would've given none if not for her. Service was EXTREMELY FAST... I like fast but that was not normal fast... We started eating and my husband ask me if I found the taste weird on the chicken. I said it was a little burned but surely must've been the oil taste We went there at 2pm on tuesday... We both got sick by 8pm. Am I mean really sick right ... We got poisoned. Big indigestion. I can tell you at one point I thought I was dying. We're 2 days later now and we're still not well. Headaches and low energy since we still can't eat much Just liquids. It was my first time in a Dixie Lee and wanted to try it for a very long time. But let me tell you that I won't even consider going back there ever again in my life. Just wanted to let people know if someone got sick that day and was wondering if anyone else was... Well we did!!
This is a home of fried chicken and a bunch of seafood. Options are great with onsite generous parking. The portion is definitely fill you up. Once it locates on riverside, the view is great in the evening.
Went here today and ordered the fish and chips dinner. The fish portions were thick and tasty. The box was loaded with fries and came with a small roll and coleslaw. A highly recommended place to stop by. I’ll come by again soon for the chicken.
Used to be a great place to stop coming through the north side to pick up dinner on the cheap. I don't think I've been in here two times in a row over the last 2 years without a noticeable price increase in their "specials", generally accompanied with a matched decrease in service. Just get take out from a diner, there's no price difference anymore. Nickle and dining the prices every month will be the death of this place, shame too, it's been here for years and years. What used to be a nice $20 dinner/date by the river is now a $35 dinner served to you by cranky PO'd teenagers.
Good popular local place if you want an alternative for Kentucky this is the perfect place, you can add fried seafood, just watch out because all plates come with frenchfrites
Like having fish & chips at your grandmother's house like most Dixie Lee's. Huge portions, great service and facilities. The whole clam dinner was fantastic!
